Movements Report by Asset
Objective: Gain an understanding of how to generate a Movements Report for an individual asset.
The Movements Report by Asset generates a report which, for a selected Asset, displays the changes in the value at a financial class and subclass level, by financial period or by financial year.
Steps to Generate a Movements Report by Asset
From the Navigation Sidebar, select 'Accounting' and from the Navigation Dropdown, select the relevant ledger, either 'Fair Value' or 'Historical'.
Then click on the 'Financial Year' tab to display the available reports, including the Movements Report By Asset:
Select a period of time from the hierarchy tree on the left-hand side, then select 'Movements Report By Asset' from the panel to load the following screen:
To populate the 'Asset' field, enter a search term, such as the Asset ID or the Asset name, and the top matching Asset records are displayed for selection:
Selecting an Asset will generate the Movements Report for that Asset as shown below:
Clicking on 'Export detail report' displays a confirmation message on the bottom of the page, if there is no ongoing background accounting process at the time of the request:
To view the exported report, click on the 'Financial Year' tab and select the Financial Year/Financial Period to view the 'Exported Reports' grid:
Click on the menu icon for each report to download or delete the exported report:
